The Post Chronicle [New York, NY], by Mike Baron Fidel Castro Dead? Not according to the State Dept. Fidel Castro dies and Fidel Castro Dead stories have lit up the internet over the past 24 hours. Cuba's foreign minister, in an effort to quiet the rumors, made a statement yesterday saying that Castro was is in good health. The US state dept tells FOX news that the rumors are false Comments:Article says the dead-castro rumors originated on Wall Street. That might be true. There was a Cuba fund that shot up 9% yesterday well before the blogs were onto it. Maybe it was all market manipulation. Article says Perez Hilton had all the scoops, but I am pretty sure the popular Miami Cuban blog Babalu was even earlier. The outlines of how these false alarms are spreading is at least becoming clearer.

Barack Obama Campaigns In South Florida Art Barron Reporting
(CBS4) MIAMI Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is making three stops in South Florida on Saturday.
Earlier in the morning, he had a breakfast fundraiser in Parkland, where Broward County Commissioner Stacy Ritter interviewed him live on her radio show.
During the 10-minute interview, which aired on WFTL-AM (850), Obama spoke about his hopes for the future of a post-Castro Cuba.
''We have an opportunity that is going to be coming up,'' he said, refering to Fidel Castro's poor health. ``...that allows us to reexamine a policy that has been in place for 50 years.''
Obama reiterated that, if elected, he would call for an end to the Bush administration's strict restrictions on travel to Cuba and ban on relatives sending more than $300 per quarter to family members.
Though Obama said he'd like to see the U.S. ''reexamine'' those issues, he said ``we don't want to give comfort and aid to dictators.'' ''What we do want to do is make sure we are thoughtful and open enough that we can see new opportunities,'' Obama said.
At 3 p.m., he will be at a fundraiser for the Miami-Dade Democratic Party at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium, 2901 W. Flagler St., which is open to the public.
The day ends with a stop at Mansion Nightclub on Miami Beach. The event is being called "Generation Obama: Miami", a fundraiser and reception that begins at 6 p.m. at the club, 1235 Washington Ave., Miami Beach.

Ten Postulates of Political Correctness
Baron Bodissey Political correctness insinuates itself into the body politic under many aliases – multiculturalism, diversity, tolerance, conventional wisdom, progressive thought (how’s that for an oxymoron?), all the smelly little orthodoxies of our time. It comes in a number of varieties and flavors.
As a public service, I have gathered together the ten basic principles of PC. You might call them the Ten Postulates of PC; or maybe they could be couched in the imperative as the Ten Commandments of Multiculturalism.http://globalpolitician.com/articleshow.asp?ID=3328&cid=1,
